The 5* Camping Chateau lez Eaux is near to the port of Cherbourg. Free fishing on the campsite lake with lots of both on and off site facilities. Based around a 15th century chateaux, Lez-Eaux is a family run site at Saint-Aubin des Preaux 4km inland and a short drive from St Pair Sur Mer.

There are excellent facilities here, including a newly extended bar and a beautifully landscaped indoor water park, complete with slides. Don’t forget your fishing rod either, as you’re welcome to try your luck on the little lake, free of charge. If you’re visiting over July and August, you’ll enjoy a unique chance to visit the local market that is held on parc every Tuesday.

Staying at Chateau lez Eaux means that you are ideally placed to visit Mont St Michel, which is apparently the most visited place in all France.

St Malo is also well worth a visit and parking there is not too difficult. Stroll around this fascinating walled city – on or off the walls, do some shopping, have a meal in one of the many restaurants there, or an ice cream from the largest ice cream stall I have ever seen!

Dinard is also well within travelling distance and is full of history, historic buildings and cobbled streets. If you are a history buff then Dinard is a Must!

Accommodation at Camping Chateau lez Eaux

At about 68 miles or 108 Kms away, Cherbourg is by far and away the best port for St Pair sur Mer, so if you drive down the main route of the Cherbourg peninsula, skirt around Granville then Chateau de Lez Eaux is nearby. You will find that it is a quiet and friendly parc set in the grounds of a primrose coloured manor house.
